Welcome
I’ve created this website to publish my photographs as well as to use it as an online archive where I can organise my work.
I’m 25 years old and based in Limburg, Belgium. I have a passion for photography. It started out in my teens by being fascinated by my friends and all the things we did back then. I always carried small film cameras, mostly automatic/point&shoots since I didn’t really know anything about the technical side of photography. It wasn’t until recently that I began to see and discover the possibilities, and started to engage more frequently and “seriously”. In 2022 I got my own digital camera and decided to take a course in film/video. Throughout this course however I found myself more comfortable in photography than in video.
In my personal work I like to capture everything related to Belgium. This being people, culture, traditions, sceneries, everyday life.. I’d say this is the common thread in my photography. It’s something I’m constantly looking for, and it’s also something I deeply appreciate. I’m very interested in the decline of the country: the bits and parts that have stopped moving in time and that bring us back to a time in the past, something I see as “faded glory”. I’m trying to capture everything as it is and I want my photos to be a clear representation of that. I do not want to make things abstract. I like to work with digital cameras and, although the very modern look to my images, I still try to expresses a sentiment of nostalgia and melancholy. A feeling of familiarity, a longing for something that’s gone and won’t come back. A place that (at least to me) feels like home.
I also love to take photos of my friends and family!
Thank you for your time and interest in my photographs. Feel free to have a look at my work or to get in touch with me through the contact form. I update this website frequently so new work will be available every other few weeks.

I’d like to mention: Stef Renard, Jorgo Kokkinidis, Gerald Stevens. Mom and Dad. Daan Claes, Kevin Geerts, Arnaud Sauveur, Liam Smeers. Anyone who has ever helped me out in one way or another. By sharing their thoughts, by inspiring me, by giving advice and teaching or by appreciating my pictures. And of course everyone else that ever let me take their picture. Thank you.
